TISC 2024 Summary

Summary

Through their skill and determination, participants successfully neutralised the attacker and restored control over cyberspace. The immediate threat has been addressed—for now.

However, as peace returns, it’s essential to remain vigilant. In the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity, new challenges are always on the horizon, and we can never predict what might emerge next.

But even as peace returns to cyberspace, know that there’s no time to rest on your laurels, because there’s no telling what’s lurking out there.

Participants completed a series of challenges across domains such as Web Penetration, Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Binary Exploitation, Cryptography, Mobile, Cloud and OSINT.

Participants were once again able to chart their own course to the final mission by choosing from either Track A or B.

TISC 2024 was held over 16 days, from 13 Sep 2024 (2100H) - 29 Sep 2024 (2100H).

Statistics

1,310 cybersecurity experts answered the call in TISC 2024 to track down the source, with 979 solving at least one challenge. Cloud/ Web-focused challenge (i.e., Track A) proved to be the more popular route for those who completed Level 6 and 7. Here are some statistics:
